About The project

Promin is a mobile product designed within the context of Ukraine’s national digital service ecosystem. This application addresses the issues of outdated class schedules, scattered communication, and limited access to essential academic information. Promin is designed as a lightweight tool to enhance and simplify educational workflows for students, teachers, and administrators.

Challenges

Information was fragmented across various channels (schedules, announcements, contacts).

Most existing LMS solutions focused on administration, not the student experience.

Users had difficulty quickly receiving updates about changes or important events.

Many tools lacked a modern, mobile-first interface.

The app needed to align with national standards for digital identity and data security.

What was done

Conducted user research with students, faculty, and administrators: interviews, competitor analysis, and scenario mapping.

The product architecture and user flow for the student role were created.

Created a UI kit in Figma (typography, color system, core UI components) for fast prototyping and design scaling.

Built interactive prototypes, ran usability tests with target users, and incorporated feedback iteratively.

Developed a grant proposal presentation, marketing materials, and an App Store page to support further development.

Results

The MVP design was shaped by real user insights and requirements, validated through interviews and surveys.

The prototype effectively covers students’ core needs: up-to-date schedules, instant notifications about changes, quick access to faculty contacts, and campus news.

The name “Promin,” visual identity, and product tone of voice were developed independently, with attention to branding potential and clear communication.

The project was developed with a view to scaling up and integrating it into Ukraine's digital education ecosystem.
